Ministarstvo prosvete od juče je u defanzivi, nakon što je danima optuživalo nastavnike da izvode decu na ulice, a maturante koji bojkotuju nastavu da su izmanipulisani.
The main idea of the text is the Serbian government's shift in policy regarding school closures and exam deductions in response to student-led protests. Initially, the government criticized teachers and accusing protesting students of being manipulated. They pressured for completion of first-semester grades despite teacher strikes and student boycotts related to government inaction in the wake of tragedy at the Railway Station. However, facing intense pressure, the government eventually conceded and allowed for the extension of the deadline for finalizing grades, a partial victory for teachers' unions. The author portrays this as the government's usual tactic of "riding roughshod" over public discontent, employing it tactic of appeasement (early vacation) after failing to address the underlying issues related to safety, accountability, and student rights.
